Shambolic Theatre was formed in 2007 by Lesley Cook and Alice Parsloe. The company aims to produce theatre that both inspires and invigorates, choosing interesting stories with unusual female characters. They use a strong physical and visual style alongside original text, live music, comedy and puppetry to present quirky stories in an entertaining manner.
Lesley Cook
Lesley trained at East 15 and has a strong dance background. Alice Parsloe
Alice has just returned from training at Lecoq, having originally studied at Arts Ed and UEA. Theatre includes: People Show 120 (The People Show), An Imaginative Woman (Shambolic Theatre), Tess Of The D'Urbervilles , Far from the Madding Crowd and Little Women (Theatreworks), The Gruffalo (Tall Stories-West End/international tour), Sweet Love Remember'd (Shakespeare's Globe), Like Love (West-end/international tour), Something Else (Tall Stories), Amnesia (Royal Court rehearsed reading), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Theatre in the Parks), Trojan Women (AOD-Greek and Turkish amphitheatres tour), and Marat/Sade (Arcola Theatre). Film credits: Talking With The Dead (Eldritch Films) and London Affair (Grass Roots Media). Alice is a stiltwalker for Circo Rum Ba Ba.

Romy trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama, and UEA. Theatre credits include: deviser and performer in Shambolic's 'The Sharp Sisters' Museum of Curious Revelations' , Skylight (Theatre Royal Norwich), The Pitmen Painters (The National Theatre), pool (no water) (Theatre Royal Norwich), A Day by the Sea (Finborough Theatre), My Child (Royal Court Theatre), Love Song (New Ambassodor's Theatre, West End), Festen (UK tour), The Treason Show (Kommedia, Brighton), Frog Prince (Forbidden Theatre Co., Wimbledon and Edinburgh Fringe), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Open Air tour), Shakers (Palace Theatre, Mansfield), Scratch (20:21 Productions, UK tour). Romy also does regular rehearsed readings for Ice and Fire Theatre's outreach arm, Actors For Human Rights. TV credits: Holby City (BBC), Danny Boy (RTV, Ireland).
